Come As You Are Comedy Night - August

Come As You Are Comedy is a stand-up show at WiNc Inclusion Center & Bookstore in Independence, MO, on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at 5:30pm. Hosted by Laurie Due, a queer, blind, AuDHD comedian, the show features a lineup of comics delivering a mix of sharp, thoughtful, and unapologetically honest material. Featuring: Jason “Jay” Vassar, Rod Reyes, Cassie Duncan, and Laurie Due. Your ticket includes popcorn, and drinks will be available for $1. Drink purchases support WiNc Inclusion Center & Bookstore, an inclusive space where the community can gather, connect, and share resources and experiences. Guests will also be able to shop from small independent queer-owned businesses featured at the center. This show is rated for all ages, but it does contain mature content. Come early, grab a seat, and enjoy an upbeat night of comedy with room for real perspective, unexpected turns, and a little chaos.
