Plans and Pricing

Equaticket charges organizers a flat subscription. There are no Equaticket ticket fees and no platform cut: we take nothing from each ticket sold.

Plans

Each paid plan includes an allowance of paid tickets for each billing period. Selling beyond your allowance never blocks a buyer; see If you go over.

PlanPay monthly (3-month minimum)QuarterlyAnnualTickets included
Free$0$0$0Your first 100 paid tickets, up to 50 tickets per event
Starter$29/mo$87$261750 per quarter, or 3,000 per year on annual
Growth$79/mo$237$7113,000 per quarter, or 12,000 per year on annual
Pro$189/mo$567$1,70110,500 per quarter, or 42,000 per year on annual

Annual pricing and any applicable discount are shown on the pricing page and at checkout.

When you upgrade from Free, a review screen shows your plan and what is due today before you go to payment. If you chose Pay monthly or Quarterly, it also shows what you would save by paying annually: 12 monthly payments cost $348 on Starter, $948 on Growth and $2,268 on Pro, against $261, $711 and $1,701 for the year. Nothing is charged until you continue to payment.

Paid plans commit to a quarter or a year and renew automatically. You choose how to pay:

  • Quarterly: one payment per quarter.
  • Annual: one payment per year. The whole year's tickets are available from the first day of the term.
  • Pay monthly: a quarterly plan paid in three monthly payments. It has a 3-month minimum: all three payments are owed. Your allowance is the full quarterly amount, counted in 3-month blocks from the day you started. See Paying Monthly.

How your allowance works

  • It follows your billing period. Your allowance starts fresh each quarter (or each year on annual). Your Billing page shows how many tickets you have used and the date it resets. Unused tickets do not carry over.
  • Use them whenever you like. Within the period there is no monthly slice, so a busy week and a quiet month draw from the same total.
  • What counts. Only paid tickets count. Free tickets and comp tickets you issue from the dashboard do not. Tickets you issue with cash received do count, and so do refunded tickets within the period. Tickets refunded because an event was cancelled do not count.
  • We tell you early. When you pay quarterly or monthly we email you at 75% and at 100% of your allowance. On annual we email you at 100%.

The Free plan

Free has two separate limits:

  1. Your first 100 paid tickets. This counts the paid tickets you have sold and kept, plus paid seats currently on sale. A ticket you refund frees its place. It is a total, not a monthly amount: it does not reset.
  2. Up to 50 tickets per event. Each event on Free can offer at most 50 tickets in total, free tickets included.

Buyers are never blocked. Tickets you already put on sale can all be sold, even if that takes you past 100. What stops is putting more paid tickets on sale: once your first 100 are used or listed, a paid plan is needed to publish more. Taking an event off sale frees the seats that have not sold.

If you go over

When you use your whole allowance, live events keep selling and no buyer is ever turned away. You cannot publish a new event until your allowance resets or you move to a bigger plan. Upgrading raises your allowance right away.

Plan end

A paid plan ends when you cancel and the period you have paid for finishes, when payment fails after Stripe's retries, when a pause expires, or when you use the money-back guarantee. When it ends, your account moves to Free and nothing is deleted:

  • Events that start within 30 days, and events with no paid tickets, keep selling.
  • Your other published events pause. They go back on sale when you buy a paid plan again.
  • Free's two limits apply from then on, and the paid tickets you have already sold and kept count toward your first 100.

We email you a list of what keeps selling and what paused.

Free (Legacy)

What is Free (Legacy), and why does my plan say Legacy?

Some organizations were already on Free before the ticket allowance model started. They keep a plan shown as Free (Legacy), which allows up to 50 paid tickets in any 30 days and up to 50 tickets per event. New accounts cannot choose it, and a platform admin may add or remove it. If your plan says Legacy, this is why. Upgrading to a paid plan works the same as for any account.

What every plan includes

Every plan, including Free, includes:

  • unlimited events;
  • the embeddable ticket widget;
  • custom branding and promo codes;
  • QR check-in, including Event Day Mode and offline check-in;
  • refunds, analytics, the public API and outbound webhooks;
  • no limit on the number of emails we send for your tickets and orders;
  • sending those emails from your own domain with your own Resend account.

Paid plans add:

  • real-time sync across scanning devices;
  • gates and zones;
  • check-in staff accounts;
  • CSV export of analytics;
  • publishing recurring and timed-entry series;
  • more than 50 tickets per event;
  • no "Powered by Equaticket" badge on your widget and checkout.

Pro adds priority support. Apart from that, the paid plans differ only in volume and API rate limits.

What "no Equaticket ticket fees" means

  • Stripe processing is separate. Ticket payments go straight to the organizer's own Stripe account, and Stripe charges its standard processing fee (in the US, 2.9% + 30¢ per charge). Equaticket never marks this up.
  • Organizers may add their own fee. An organizer can add a clearly labelled "Organizer fee" to cover their costs. It goes entirely to the organizer, and the buyer sees the full price before checkout. See Organizer Fees.
  • Every receipt shows it. Checkout and receipts show an "Equaticket platform fee" line of $0.00.
  • Sales tax and organizer-added fees can change a checkout total.

Money-back guarantee

Every paid plan, including annual, has a 30-day money-back guarantee. Available once per organization within 30 days of starting a paid subscription. A refund ends your paid plan immediately and may pause future paid events. Read the full conditions in the guarantee terms.

The refund covers the payments taken in those first 30 days. If you pay monthly, claiming it also stops the remaining payments. To claim it, use the Money-back guarantee card on Dashboard > Settings > Billing, or contact support through /help.

For upgrades, renewals and cancellation, see How Billing Works.
