Check-in for Slot Booking Events
Slot booking events (used for yoga classes, escape rooms, fitness sessions, and other time-slot-based experiences) use a separate check-in interface scoped to each individual time slot. This guide covers how slot check-in differs from standard event check-in.
Finding your slot check-in URL
Each time slot has its own check-in page. To find it:
- Go to Dashboard → Timed Entry & Classes
- Select your series
- Find the specific slot you're running today
- Click Check In — this opens the slot scanner at
/checkin/slot/[slotId]/live
Bookmarking this URL before your session starts is recommended.
Entering the scanner (access code)
The slot auth screen asks for your series access code (not an event access code). This is the access code for the parent series, shared across all slots in that series. You can find it in Dashboard → Timed Entry & Classes → [Series] → Settings.
Staff magic links are also slot-scoped — when you send a magic link from a slot's Check-in page, it opens directly to that slot's scanner.
The slot scanner interface
The slot scanner works the same as the standard event scanner:
- Scanner tab — point your camera at an attendee's QR code
- Search tab — look up attendees by name or email and check them in manually
- Recent tab — view the last 20 scans with timestamps
The status strip at the top shows: {checked in} / {sold} (cap {capacity}) — this reflects only the current slot, not the entire series.
Key differences from standard event check-in
| Standard event | Slot check-in | |
|---|---|---|
| URL format | /checkin/[eventId]/live | /checkin/slot/[slotId]/live |
| Auth screen | "Enter the event access code" | "Enter the series access code" |
| Stats | Event-level totals | Slot-level totals only |
| Day-of brief email | Sent 20-28h before event | Sent 20-28h before slot start |
| "Show QR" door code | Available | Available (shows series booking page) |
Offline mode
Offline check-in for slot events works the same as for standard events on paid tiers — the attendee manifest is synced locally before the session. If you lose internet, the scanner continues to work and queues scans for sync when you reconnect.
Multiple slots in one day
If you're running multiple slots back-to-back (e.g., 9am, 11am, 1pm classes), each slot has its own check-in page and its own scanned-vs-capacity count. Staff can switch between slots by navigating back to the series dashboard and opening the next slot's Check-in link.
If you have six or more slots in a day, consider the series scanner instead — it covers all slots from a single URL and advances automatically as slots roll over.
