Connecting Stripe Inside Equaticket
You connect Stripe without leaving Equaticket. Stripe's own setup form appears on a page in your dashboard, so you do not get sent to another site and back. Ticket payments still go straight into your own Stripe account, and Equaticket takes no platform cut.
How to connect
Only organization owners and admins can connect Stripe.
- Click Payments in the left menu (or go to Dashboard > Settings > Payments). The page lists what to have handy: your legal name or your organization's legal name, your EIN (or the last 4 of your SSN if you are an individual), a bank account and routing number, and a phone number for a verification code.
- Click Connect Stripe. Stripe's form opens on the same page, under a short note about how Stripe handles your setup.
- Stripe's first step is a quick sign-in with a verification code. A small window may open for it. After that it is mostly your business details, then a bit about you, then your bank account.
- Review and submit.
It takes about 5 minutes. Stripe saves your progress, so you can stop and come back.
Picking up where you left off
Go back to the Payments page and click Continue with Stripe on the Payment setup incomplete card. The form opens in the card and continues from the first thing still missing. The reminder emails we send while setup is unfinished link to the same page.
What you see when you finish
The status card at the top of the Payments page updates by itself, and the dot on the Payments menu item follows it.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Connected | Stripe can take card payments for you. Paid tickets on your live events are now on sale. |
| Information submitted | You submitted everything and Stripe is confirming your account details. You can keep working, and your paid tickets go on sale automatically when it is done. |
| Payment setup incomplete | You left before submitting. Click Continue with Stripe whenever you are ready. |
| More information needed | You submitted, but Stripe still needs something. This is routine for a new account; the dashboard shows a blue note, "Stripe needs a few more details to finish setting up payments". Click Continue setup. |
If the form does not load
Some in-app browsers, such as the browser inside an email or social app, do not support Stripe's embedded form. If you see a message that the form could not load, or you simply prefer it, click Open setup directly in Stripe in the setup card. It takes you to Stripe's own website to finish, and sends you back to Equaticket afterwards. Opening the link in your regular browser also works.
