Connecting Your Stripe Account
Equaticket uses Stripe Connect (Standard) so that ticket payments go directly into your Stripe account. You keep full control of your funds and your Stripe dashboard.
How to connect
- Go to Dashboard > Settings > Payments.
- Click Connect Stripe Account.
- You will be redirected to Stripe where you can either:
- Sign in to an existing Stripe account, or
- Create a new one (takes about 5 minutes).
- Complete Stripe's onboarding steps (business details, bank account, identity verification).
- Once done, you will be redirected back to Equaticket with a connected account.
When is Stripe required?
You need a connected Stripe account with charges enabled to publish events with paid tickets. If you only sell free tickets, Stripe is not required.
Stripe verification
Stripe may request additional verification at certain thresholds (commonly around $1,500 in volume or 30 days after account creation). When Stripe sets a verification deadline:
- Equaticket sends you reminder emails at 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before the deadline.
- Your dashboard will show a warning banner.
- Complete the requirements in your Stripe Dashboard to keep your account in good standing.
Common issues
"My account says pending verification"
Stripe needs more information from you. Log in to your Stripe Dashboard and look for a banner or notification about required documents. Events stay live during this period, but new publishing may be blocked if the deadline passes.
"My account is restricted"
Stripe has disabled charges on your account, usually due to incomplete verification. Go to your Stripe Dashboard to see what is needed. Your existing events remain visible but cannot process new sales until the restriction is lifted.
"My account was disconnected"
If you deauthorized Equaticket from your Stripe settings, your published events will be automatically paused. To fix this, reconnect from Dashboard > Settings > Payments. After reconnecting, you will need to manually re-publish your paused events.
"I want to use a different Stripe account"
Disconnect your current account from your Stripe Dashboard, then reconnect with the new account from Equaticket.
