Other-Platform Tickets at the Door
This covers the day of the event when you have uploaded another platform's attendee list. Set-up is in Selling on Another Platform Too.
Before your event
Buyers who buy on the other platform after your last upload will not be on your Equaticket list. The simplest fix is to stop them:
- Set the other platform's sales to end at least 2 hours before doors, or earlier if you can.
- After sales end, export and upload once more.
- Run Check a ticket on a real ticket.
- Make sure an owner or admin is signed in at the door or can be reached, because only they can add a late buyer (see below).
If your event starts within 24 hours and your list is more than 6 hours old, the event page shows a yellow card asking you to upload a fresh export.
Upload again, even from your phone
Open the event's Attendees page and select Import Tickets. If the new file has the same columns as your last upload, we reuse your settings and go straight to the review. That is Quick update. Only owners and admins can upload.
To get a file onto your phone, export from the other platform on a laptop or in your phone's browser, then open the file from your email, AirDrop or a drive. The upload accepts CSV files.
Tickets already imported are skipped. New ones are added, and refunded ones can be cancelled when you confirm.
What door staff see
- A ticket on your list: the normal green admitted screen, naming the platform.
- Already checked in: the usual "already checked in" screen.
- A cancelled ticket: a red screen. Do not admit.
- A ticket that is not on your list: an amber screen saying it is not on your imported list. Check the guest's order on the other platform, or search by name.
Guests who bought after your last upload
An owner or admin sees Admit and add on the amber screen. Ask to see the guest's order confirmation for your event first, and only add them if it matches. Enter their name and email, and we add the ticket and check them in at once.
Event managers and door staff cannot add tickets. They see "Ask an owner or admin to check their order."
After the event, the Attendees page has an Added at the door filter. Each one shows "Confirmed by your export" once a later upload included it, or "Not in any upload yet". A guest who never appears in any export is worth checking on the other platform.
Refunds
Refunds stay on the other platform. After refunding there, upload a fresh export and tick the cancel box, or select Void ticket on the Attendees page.
When the scanner is offline
A phone checks the list it last downloaded. A ticket on that list is admitted and sent to the server when the signal returns. A ticket that is not on the list shows a message that the list may be out of date while offline. You cannot add guests offline.
The practice scan in scanner set-up does not recognize these tickets and reports them as invalid. Use Check a ticket on the event page instead.
