How Your Attendee Emails Look

The emails we send your attendees (tickets, order confirmations, resent tickets, refunds, reminders, the link to view their tickets, and notices about changes to your event) have a refreshed design. Every one of them uses your logo and color once you turn them on. This article explains what attendees see and what you control.

What every attendee email has

  • Your event name as the headline, large, under a small label such as "Receipt" or "Reminder". In the ticket email the label is "Your ticket(s)" and the event name sits on the ticket card (see below).
  • A short details list with the date, the place and your contact details.
  • Notes in one style. Your note to ticket holders and our short tips show as a quiet block with a small label, such as "A note from" followed by your organization name.
  • A footer with "Questions about this event? Contact" your organization and its email address, then "Equaticket's platform fee is always $0 · Powered by" followed by the Equaticket wordmark, a link to create your own events, and the buyer terms and privacy links. The wordmark appears whichever look you use, including when you have added only a color. The line "From a ticket. To being there." appears only on emails with the standard Equaticket look.

The ticket email

The ticket email opens with a greeting and one sentence, then the ticket card and one stub for each ticket.

  • The ticket card starts with a banner image, then shows the event title. The date (When), the place (Where) and a link to your event page appear only when the event has them. The card never shows an attendee name.
  • One stub per ticket. Every stub has the same layout, whether the order has one ticket or ten: a small "ADMIT ONE" line with a counter such as "1/3", the ticket type as the headline, and the reference code. The QR code sits beside these. If a ticket has an attendee name, a labelled Name line appears on that stub. Names are per ticket, so tickets without a name show no Name line.
  • Your note to ticket holders appears in a white box headed "A note from" followed by your organization name, under the tickets.
  • An Add to Google Calendar button, which is left out if the event has no valid date.
  • A line for the QR code: "Can't see the QR code? Open your ticket here." It links to the ticket page, which uses the same stub design. The email also shows the order number and the ticket count.
  • Reminder emails show the same stub for each ticket, without the banner and ticket card.

Resent tickets and updated tickets (for example after a re-import) use this same design.

If you use the standard design

By default your attendees see the Equaticket look: a blue header with the Equaticket name, a yellow-green button and the line "From a ticket. To being there." Your event name and details are still the focus of the email.

If you turn on your own logo and color

Open Dashboard > Settings > Branding and turn on Use my logo and color in buyer emails.

  • Your logo replaces the Equaticket name at the top of the email.
  • Your colors show up as the thin bar at the top, the small square next to the label, the button and the banner on the ticket card. Text stays dark so it is easy to read, whatever colors you choose.
  • Links in the email are dark and underlined, so they look the same for every organizer.
  • The Equaticket header and the line "From a ticket. To being there." are not shown.

If you add only a color and no logo, the Equaticket name stays at the top and your color is used for the bar, the small square, the button and the ticket banner.

The ticket banner

The banner at the top of the ticket card is Equaticket's gradient banner by default. If you turned on your own logo and color and chose a brand color, the banner is a gradient in your color instead. It is created when you save the color, so a banner can take a moment to appear after you save. Until it exists, the banner area shows a solid block in your color. If you add only a logo, the ticket card keeps Equaticket's gradient banner.

Add your logo and choose your color in Branding Your Buyer Emails.

On phones

The emails fit narrow screens. Buttons span the width of the screen so they are easy to tap, and text sizes stay readable without zooming.
