Embedding Tickets on Your Website
You can sell tickets directly on your own website using the Equaticket embed widget. Your buyers never need to visit equaticket.com — the full ticket selection and checkout experience lives on your page.
Three Ways to Embed
Equaticket offers three embedding methods. All three automatically update when you change event details, prices, or availability — no need to re-paste your code.
| Method | Best For | Auto-Updates | Setup Complexity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Embed Script (Recommended) | Most websites and builders | Yes | Paste one snippet |
| Direct Iframe | Custom setups, fixed heights needed | Yes | Paste iframe HTML, set height manually |
| Modal Button | Adding a "Buy Tickets" button | Yes | Paste button + script tag |
How to Get Your Embed Code
- Log into your Equaticket dashboard
- Go to your event
- Click Share & Embed
- Choose your preferred embed method
- Copy the code snippet
- Paste it into your website (see platform guides below)
Platform-Specific Guides
If you're using a website builder, follow the guide for your platform:
- Squarespace — Use a Code Block
- Wix — Use the Embed HTML widget
- WordPress — Install the plugin
- Webflow — Use a Code Embed
- Shopify — Use Custom Liquid
- Framer — Use Embed or Custom Code
- Weebly / Square Online — Use Embed Code
- Other builders — General instructions
What Updates Automatically
When you make changes to your event in the Equaticket dashboard, the widget on your site updates immediately:
- Event date and time
- Ticket availability and quantities
- Ticket prices and names
- Event description and location
- Sold-out status and waitlist signup (if enabled)
You do not need to re-paste your embed code. The only exception is the Direct Iframe method, which uses a token that expires after 30 days.
What About Branding?
Free plan: The widget displays a small "Powered by Equaticket" badge at the bottom.
Paid plans: You can remove the "Powered by Equaticket" badge in your dashboard under Settings → Branding.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I embed on multiple pages or websites?
Yes. The same embed code works anywhere. Paste it on as many pages as you want — there's no limit.
What if my event sells out?
The widget automatically shows a sold-out message. If you have a waitlist enabled, it shows the waitlist signup form instead of the ticket selector.
What happens after my event ends?
The widget shows the event as ended and typically displays "No longer available" or similar. We recommend removing the embed code from your page once the event is complete.
Do I need an Equaticket account to embed?
No. The embed widget is public — any visitor can see it and buy tickets without creating an account. They only need an email address to complete checkout.
Does the embed work on mobile?
Yes. All three embed methods are mobile-responsive. On mobile, the Stripe payment form may open in a new tab (this is a Stripe requirement), but buyers return to your page after completing payment.
What about pop-up blockers?
Stripe payment processing opens in a new tab on some devices. If your visitors have browser pop-up blockers enabled, they may need to allow pop-ups from your site to proceed with payment. Most browsers show a notification bar when a pop-up is blocked.
